Company Profile

The Egyptian Company for Media Production City was established as an “Egyptian joint stock company under the free zone system” in accordance with the provisions of Investment Law No. 230 of 1989 and Law No. 8 of 1997 issuing the Investment Guarantees and Incentives Law and its Executive Regulations, as amended by Investment Law No. 72 of 2017.
On February 24, 2000, Prime Minister Decree No. 411 of 2000 was issued approving the establishment of a public free zone of a special nature in the 6th of October City, Giza Governorate, devoted to artistic and media production and related production and service activities. The area in which the Media Production City is located is considered part of this free zone. The Extraordinary General Assembly of the company on November 1, 2000 approved the transformation of the company into a company operating under the public free zone system, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Media Public Free Zone issued Resolution No. 285 of 2001 dated January 28, 2001 licensing the company to practice its activity under the public free zone system.

  Providing production means that can be rented or sold to others for television, cinematic and media purposes, including their complementary activities.

- Providing a diversified production (dramatic - cultural - children) that meets local needs and external marketing.

- Distribution and marketing of the company's production and the production of others.

Providing and manufacturing the city’s needs (wooden - metal artifacts - clothes - accessories for the purpose of the company) through the service complex established for this purpose or others, or renting or selling them to others, provided that the stored goods are to companies operating in the Media Production City only and that the company abides by the terms of the storage activity With regard to the first item of the purpose, and in the event that companies not operating under the free zones system within the public media free zone desire to purchase one of their needs from the Egyptian Company for Media Production City related to this activity, and the obligation to pay all taxes and fees due on them, as these companies do not enjoy the benefits of public free zones.

- Establishing a five-star hotel inside the city to provide hotel services to expatriates in the Sixth of October City, tourists and artists.

- Participation and financing of international and local companies in the diversified artistic production.

Importing what the company may need and helping it to perform its media purposes.

- Using the components of the city as a tourist attraction.

- Producing advertising films and marketing advertisements.

Providing tourism services accompanying film missions from abroad.

- Using the children's and miscellaneous photography area as a recreational area for the public, and providing the necessary services for it.

- Directing the educational activity by establishing an international academy for media sciences and media engineering.

Owning, renting, equipping, operating or managing cinemas.

Advertising, publicity and public relations services.

- Establishing all kinds of satellite television, radio and information channels.

Providing training, services and consultations necessary for the media field.
